“A ‘Small Boy’ like you doesn’t deserve the hype you are getting” – Patience Nyarko to Joe Mettle – video

Ghanaian gospel musician Patience Nyarko has tagged her colleague and award-winning gospel artiste Joe Mettle as a small boy hence does not deserve all the hype he is receiving now.

She raised this controversial statement during an interview with Christian Agyei Frimpong on Onua FM Saturday afternoon.

According to her, Joe mettle doesn’t deserve the hype many industrial players have placed on him as she claims most of his songs are not because he is very artistic, but they are old Pentecost and Methodist songs.

This whole drama between these two Gospel artistes started when a music and event promoter suggested that Joe Mettle is the only gospel artiste from Ghana with international recognition.

“Joe Mettle has not gotten to where he’s being placed by the public. The way people are lifting him up there, he’s not gotten there yet…,” Patience Nyarko said.

“How many English songs does Joe Mettle have? Is it not Pentecost and Methodist songs that he sings? If these churches decide to stop people from singing their songs, what would be the fate of Joe Mettle?”, she added.
