UCC student arrested for kidnapping SHS girl for 5 days

A Level 300 student of the university of cape coast is in the grips of the police for kidnapping.

Simeon Cephas Andoh Dadzie, 22 years of age, was said to have lured an SHS girl whose name has been withheld into his hostel.

The girl is 18 years of age and an old student of Methodist Senior High School in Sekondi.

A group of youth who were concerned about the whereabouts of the girl got a lead through her Facebook conversations and tracked her into the hostel room of the suspect.

The group said when they got to the hostel, Cephas denied knowing where the girl was but after a searh in his room,, they found the girl in the washroom looking pale.

In their own words: “We moved from Sekondi to Cape Coast on Wednesday in the morning around 11am to UCC campus where upon our arrival, we were assisted by a lady alumnus of the University to the suspect’s hostel”.

“Upon our search in the room, we found the girl in the bathroom and quickly arrested the guy and brought him down to Sekondi and handed him over to the police,” the group added.

The case is in the hands of the police now and they are doing investigations as to his motives of kidnapping the girl.
