Two more criminals have been apprehended by Ghana Police Service personnel in conjunction with the assassination of the 10-year-old in Kasoa.
On April 3, footage of two teens arrested for murdering 10-year-old Ishmael in an unfinished building for money ritual purposes went viral.
They tricked him into the unfinished building and beat him with a club and bricks, killing him instantly, according to reports.
They were apprehended and arraigned in the Ofankor Circuit Court, where they were remanded in detention until April 20, 2021, when their fate will be decided.
Yesterday, the fetish priestess who requested GHC5,000 and a human being from the teens to assist them in being wealthy was also apprehended.
Charity and Desmond Nii Adjei, two other criminals, have both been identified and are now helping police in their inquiries.
According to DSP Juliana Obeng, the CID’s Head of Public Relations, Charity and Desmond were apprehended by the police when authorities launched a manhunt for the crime’s perpetrators.
In an interview with Joy News, DSP Juliana Obeng has urged the media to be cautious in their reporting due to the sensitive nature of the situation.
“investigations are still ongoing, we stress the need for us to be circumspect in our reportage because the case is quite sentimental; we do not want to toy with emotions at this moment,” she said.
