“Singing only hymns makes a lazy artiste” – Patience Nyarko jabs Joe mettle

The Ghanaian Gospel musician Patience Nyarko has yet again passed another controversial comment and this time she claims sampling from Hymns only makes one a lazy singer.

This seems to be in relation to her recent beef with her colleague Gospel artist Joe mettle accusing him of sampling Methodist and Pentecostal hymns.

According to the ‘Obi Nyani Me’ singer, God has graced her the ability to write her own songs so she will see to it that she put the talent to practice rather than making covers of other’s songs.

She added that all artiste who does that tends to show to the whole world how uncreative he or she is.

“I do not see the need to remake them, put them on her album, and sell them. I would prefer hiring a songwriter than remaking hymns done by other people,” she said.
