Queen Elizabeth, the ruling Monarch of the United Kingdom, has reacted to the death of the late Jerry John Rawlings.
According to the Monarch, JJ Rawling’s contribution to bringing back the country to Democratic rule was something that Ghanaians should be proud of.
She wrote in her official eulogy that “I was saddened,” after hearing of the news of Rawlings’ demise.
She added: “I recall fondly my visit to Ghana in 1999 and the many discussions we had at the Commonwealth Heads of Government meetings”
“He made an invaluable contribution to the creation of the current constitution and returning Ghana to democracy in 1992,”
