Following the Kintampo waterfall accident, Ghana has been struck by yet another tragedy involving children.
Since it was a weekend, Apam residents went to the beach to enjoy themselves, but sadly, a huge number of children drowned.

Twenty children are believed to have drowned after visiting the Apam beach, according to a report from the Central Regional Area.

After the Kintampo waterfalls accident, this is the second national disaster tragedy affecting a large group of children.
On a holiday in Kintampo waterfall in March 2017, 20 adolescents disappeared.
Twenty children died in the Apam River in March 2021.

The incident occurred in March as well, and 20 children were declared dead, similar to the Apam drowning incident.
Some Ghanaians have begun to interpret both national tragedies in superstitious ways.
