A 10-year-old boy suffered severe burns to his body after being set on fire by an enraged weed-smoking teenager at Amanfrom in Kasoa.
The suspect was angry, according to a post on starrfmonline.com, because spiritualist Kojo Samuel had told his mother that he was addicted to pot smoking.
Hammer, as the perpetrator is named, allegedly bought petrol and invaded the spiritualist’s house, intending to burn him and his neighbors.
The spiritualist told Boagyan that his wife saw the suspect coming and warned him, so he was able to flee, but a furious Hammer turned his anger on the child and set him on blaze near the house.
The incident happened on Friday evening in Ngleshie Amanfrom, near Kasoa, in the Greater Accra Region’s Ga South Municipality.
The survivor is reportedly being treated at the Ngleshie Amanfrom Polyclinic in critical condition.
The Amanfrom Police Department is looking into the situation.
