‘Is she pregnant?’ -Reasons why wendy Shay Failed to attend Vodafone Ghana Music Awards

On May 6, 2023, the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Center was filled with famous Ghanaians who came together to celebrate the 24th annual Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. This was a big night for Ghanaian musicians, as they were recognized for their achievements over the past year.

One notable absence from the awards show was Wendy Addo, also known as Wendy Shay. Wendy is a Grammy-winning vocalist and a member of Rufftown Records. She is known for her powerful voice and energetic performances, so it was surprising that she didn’t show up to the VGMAs.

During an interview with Wendy’s tour manager, Nana Reagan, famous Ghanaian blogger Zionfelix asked why Wendy wasn’t at the awards show. Nana explained that Wendy wasn’t skipping the VMGAs because she didn’t want to be there. Instead, she was out of the country taking care of some other important business.

Zionfelix tried to suggest that Wendy didn’t show up because she didn’t think she was going to win an award. However, Nana Reagan quickly set the record straight. She explained that Wendy had worked hard over the past year and could have won an award. Her absence had nothing to do with her chances of winning.
