Prince David Osei, a Ghanaian actor, and staunch NPP member has announced his intention to run for President one day.
Prince David Osei told Frema Adunyame and Nana Tuffour on Citi TV’s “Upside Down” show that, while this might come as a shock, he is certain that it will happen because it is part of his destiny.
“I will be the President of Ghana some day. In life, everybody and what God gives them. Sometimes you might look unqualified, you might [even] look like you are not the one. That has always been my story…I know who I am and who I trust in,”
He went on to say that he has a personal bond with God and that he knows God will one day make him President of Ghana.
The actor clarified that when he was seventeen years old, God promised him that he will become President of the United States one day, and he is always hanging on to that prophecy with confidence.
While God did not tell him when the pledge will be fulfilled, the actor said that he is preparing by equipping himself with what he wants to succeed as the nation’s chief.
During the 2020 polls, Prince David Osei was one of the celebrities who publicly backed the incumbent NPP government led by Nana Akufo-Addo.
David explained why he wanted to publicly engage in partisan politics despite being a filmmaker, saying that campaigning for the NPP was only a turning stone to help him achieve his goal.
Those who are unaware of David’s political ambitions and prophecy, according to David, will not grasp his steps until it unfolds one day.
