In a video that went viral online, Ghanaian comedian Benson Nana Yaw Oduro, popular as Funny Face, came out to provide the reason behind his police arrest.
Funny Face implied that he was behaving in self-defense by telling his side of the story and it got him in further trouble instead.
According to him, his mother-in-law, Vanessa, pulled out a knife at him, threatened to kill him, then pulled out a gun in his own defense, and fired some warning shots to shield him from the supposed knife attack.
Funny Face added that while all he did was to try to protect his life from being in the way of danger, he did not expect to be regarded as a thief.
In recounting his ordeal, Funny Face added that he was given the beating of his life at the police department after his police detention.
He alleged that, among many other allegations of police brutality, the police had kicked him in the face and stomach.
The award-winning comic then admitted that while he was supposedly assaulted, he still eased himself as a way to pay them back for how they handled him at the police station.
he shared the video and wrote;
