Former Blackstar player Quincy Owusu Abeyie, quits football to become a rapper.

Former black stars player Quincy Owusu Abeyie, who played for Ghana consistently between 2006 and 2008 has disclosed that he is now retiring from football to pursue his dream of being a top rapper.

Abeyie who is only 33 years of age, has already released his first mixtape and he calls it “blow”, this shows how serious he is with his decision to be a rapper.

Owusu Abeyie disclosed that the reason why he chose the name “blow” for his first mixtape was due to how lavish he was living some time ago.

Abeyie will be coming out with a new EP, which he calls “the chapter”

He disclosed that his decision to do music was not something he came up with overnight but have thought about it for a very long time.

“Now that I am releasing my first solo mixtape, I want to show the world: this is me. This is what I am doing now.

“There was no Ronald de Boer type around in our neighborhood who said ‘With football, you have a future’.

“My role models were the money makers of the block. The street men driving around in horrible cars. “That was then the s*** for me, later I grew older and I made other choices. “I hope to make the people from the neighborhood proud. First as a footballer and now as an artist.” he added.
