European Union Recognizes the new G@y and Lesbi@n Office opened in Accra (photos)

A newly constructed LGBTIQ office in Accra was acknowledged by the European Union in Ghana.

“They wrote in a Facebook post: “A few weeks ago, the EU in Ghana took part in the opening of the new @LGBTRightsGhana Community.

The EU’s fundamental principles are dignity, peace and reverence for each other. The EU is funding the promotion of #LGBTIQ citizenship through civil society organizations.

A few weeks ago, LGBTQI + Rights Ghana opened an administrative office in Tesano, a suburb of Accra.

There is a need for protection for human rights, according to the organization, so setting up an office for help this purposes is a move in the right direction.

A fundraiser was arranged by the organization, with the involvement of many ambassadors, including the Australian High Commissioner, who promised to help the group.
