Braimah Kamoko, best known as Bukom Banku, a famous Ghanaian boxer, and musician, has made a new public appearance with a new dark skin tone, pledging an end to light-skin bleaching.
Bukom Banku bleached his face in early 2021 and added various cosmetic enhancements such as eyelashes and earrings.
His presence evoked a wide range of reactions from the public, with many claiming that the boxer had gone gay.
However, Buzzgh.com can verify that the boxer has returned to his normal dark skin after making a new appearance in the public domain.
While he admitted that bleaching was terrible for him, he explained that the motivation for bleaching stemmed from the reality that he was becoming notorious and wanted to do more to break back into the trends.
In an interview sighted by Buzzgh.com, the boxer-comedian actor stated;
“Bleaching is not good but when the name is coming down and I do something and the name is coming up,”
He clarified that after his skin toning, the majority of the powerful people on which he relied ignored him.
He regrets his decisions and says he will never go back to his old ways because bleaching will endanger his health as a boxer.
He said, “Right now I am Black. I have stopped it because the big men in the nation gave me advice to stop bleaching. The way when I am bleaching and people talk too much, I don’t want to bleach again, it’s not good.”
“If I continue one-day one-day it will give me another effect, the boxer told Joy FM, adding, “One side of my face will be burnt and some places will be red and black. If small boys see you by the road they will run.”
According to him, “Whenever I bleach, the big men who give me money get vexed because I am not a woman-lady, I’m not a gay.”
The heavyweight boxer has bleached his face for the second time.
