The example has been set, and rastafarians will now apply for senior high school enrollment without having to shave their heads.
After two Rastafarians were refused admission to Achimota SHS because their hair, the Ghana Education Service (GES) released a statement clarifying that students can be admitted with long hair as long as they can show they are Rastafarians.
That is the new norm, as shown by the admission of a new Rastafarian student to Kumasi’s Osei Kyeretwie Senior High School (OKESS).
The young boy arrived at school with his bushy hair and was quickly accepted.

Beloved we have another victory today in KUMASI! Thank you JAH for another blessed day. We thank OKESS S.H.S Kumasi head…
