An 80-year-old man who is identified as David Mluli has reportedly died at a hotel in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania while chopping his 33-year-old lover.
according to reports, Mr. David collapsed and died suddenly on Saturday, January 16, while he was together with his girlfriend identified as Neema Kibaya in room number 22 at Mbezi Garden Hotel in Dar es Salaam.
from sources, the 80-year-old man first came into the hotel before his lover joined him there.
Kinondoni Regional Police Commander, Mr. Ramadhan Kingai, who confirmed the incident on Monday, January 18, told journalists that the police force received a phone call from Mbezi Garden Hotel manager Newton Mkonda on January 16 at around 3 pm.
the manager of the hotel told the Police force on the phone that a client has died in their hotel room number 22.
The Regional Police commander said;
“The police arrived at the area and found Mr. Mluli’s body along with a woman who identified herself as Neema Kibaya. Ms. Kibaya told the police of the love relationship she had with the deceased,”
the police have hence detained the 33-year-old lover of the 80-year-old man while his body has been deposited at the Mwananyamala Hospital for postmortem.
The Regional Police commander added;
“There were no direct physical signs that could have been noted as doubtful with exception of his underwears getting wet before he passed away,”
“Postmortem protocols demand the presence of a relative of the deceased who has to identify the body before burial preparations,” he added.
the Police while searching his room found out that Mr. Mluli was in possession of Sh37,000, his national identification card, and Tecno mobile handset.
